Day Three – November 30, 2010

Epcot

For some reason I do not have the time we woke up today but since we were just having breakfast in the RV again it was probably around 7:30 a.m. That gives Michael and I time to take a shower and dressed before we get the kids up.

Breakfast in the RV was donuts for Michael and I again and cereal for Nicholas and Elizabeth and Christopher had his microwavable bacon, egg and cheese hot pocket.

Now as I waited for 9:00 a.m. (that’s when the ENT doctor gets in) I finished doing my hair and put my makeup on, then I wrote down some notes in my passporter. I think I even texted Carrie (we were going to meet that day)!

So I told the girl that answers the phone at the doctor’s office about Nicholas. How he was on an antibiotic for a sinus infection and his last dose was two days ago (our arrival date) and when we landed a lot of pain he had and then Monday night he was crying again that his ear hurt was there something the doctor could call him in because I was worried it was going to get worse and then for the flight home. She said she would talk to the doctor and call me back.

I called the front desk and talked to them about a pharmacy that delivers, they gave a number and I wrote that down in my passporter for the doctor’s office when they called back.

After my backpack was packed and everyone was dressed – off we were to Epcot!

We were a short walk to the buses, well the first bus we had to take. Now for those of you who have never stayed in Fort Wilderness, they have their own internal bus system. There are three difference routes (orange, yellow and purple) that take you either straight down the middle, to the left or to the right of Fort Wilderness. We really could take either bus because they all ended up in the front of the resort then we would hop off and wait for the appropriate theme park bus.

Here is Elizabeth waiting for the first bus.

I’m posting something on facebook I believe.

Here is a picture of what the bus stop actually looked like.

This was a part of Fort Wilderness with Spanish Moss, beautiful.

When we got the front of the park we waited again for a bus to take us to Epcot and I always love Disney flowers, I don’t know why but I do. So here’s one for you!

Now on our way to Epcot!

The kids never say with us when there was no one on the bus.

Michael and I:

We arrived at Epcot at approximately 10:42 (I know late but we had issues)

“The Ball”

For those who remember from our April 2010 trip, Michael took this same picture with the boys. They did it again!

We will see you soon!

First order of business – doctor’s office called me back and he was prescribing something for Nicholas, yeah, antibiotic and a steroid. Now I try to get a hold of the pharmacy, I had rotten phone service so the call wouldn’t go through. I finally called Verizon and she laughed when I told her I was at Disney. She said so many people were using their cell phones that it was possible that I couldn’t get through because of that. She tried to connect me, still no luck. Now I’m sweating and these are the kids bored in Disney LOL

Finally my phone rings and it’s the pharmacy but I can’t hear him good so I go into a store (they sell frames and such) and he tells me that they got a call from the doctor and that they don’t except insurance that Fort Wilderness pays for the medicine and then we pay Fort Wilderness. Ok. I found that the guy on the phone was kind of rude but I just let that roll down my back, I’m in Disney!

Ok so we decided I think to get fast passes at this point for Soarin’ which we did, I wrote down that our fast pass for 3:27 to 4:27 pm. We had a 12:40 p.m. lunch ressie for Coral Reef but we had plenty of time to do things.

First up Living with the Land. Now I know we always take a lot of pictures here but I will spare you and only post a few.

Now while spanning my pictures that’s the only thing we apparently did before lunch because my next picture is that of the Coral Reef Christmas Tree which was beautifully decorated with star fish and sea things of course. My camera is new to us and I have trouble focusing on things when indoors but I finally figured it out but not with this picture LOL

Now for lunch this is what every one got

Michael - Seared Scottish Salmon - with fennel-radish slaw, green beans, and a citrus emulsion

Me - Grilled New York Strip Steak - served with horseradish smashed potatoes, watercress, and marketfresh vegetables

Christopher – Grilled Mahi Mahi - with laughing bird shrimp, hearts of palm, Jasmine rice and a coconut-lime sauce

Nicholas - Soup of the Day
(which I can't remember what it was but of course something seafood, lobster bisque I want to say), Grilled cheese and french fries

Elizabeth - Cheese Pizza - served with Veggies and Apple Slices

For dessert

Michael - Almond Gelato - with granola-marshmallow cookie, peaches, and passion fruit sauce

Laura -Butterscotch Cremé Brulée - with seasonal berries

Christopher -Fruit Cup

Nicholas -Butterscotch Cremé Brulée - with seasonal berries

Elizabeth - Ice-Cream Sundae

We all loved our lunch and our waitress was very nice.

After Coral Reef we decided to do The Seas with Nemo and Friends and Turtle Talk with Crush (we missed Turtle Talk with Crush in April). It was really cute except the kids Crush talked to were too young so they would raise their hand to ask him something and then say nothing.

Hidden Mickey in the Coral Reef!

After that we went to Innoventions East and Innoventions West for the kids and to cool off a bit, although I will say it wasn’t hot it was warm but I was enjoying the nice weather as we left Connecticut and it was chilly.

Here are some pictures of the kids playing the games.

Michael also learned how to ride the Segway!

Smile!

Now it was time to go to Soarin’! We had our first ride on it in April 2010 and we were the front row! No way were we going to get lucky and get that again. I believe we were the last row but the ride was still enjoyable. After we started walking a whole bunch of texts were coming in. I had been texting Carrie on our whereabouts and while we were on Soarin she texted me that she would meet me right at the exit of Soarin’. I was actually getting nervous but an excited nervous.

Here’s our picture together! Pardon the goofy expression I was very excited.

So for my list of attractions we did that day

Soarin’

Nemo and Friends

Turtle Talk with Crush

Living with the Land

Innoventions East

Innoventions West

We left Epcot around 5:30 p.m. Now some of you might be thinking but Laura you forgot about the World Showcase, no I didn’t my friends we are coming back to do the rest of Epcot, have no fear!

We decided to go to Downtown Disney because I needed to eat at the Earl of Sandwich again! Yes folks it’s all about the food!

Mihcael and I - Hawaiian BBQ - ham, grilled chicken, Hawaiian BBQ sauce, Swiss cheese and pineapple

Christopher - I have written down that he ate Cannonball which I'm assuming it's some sort of meatball grinder, I can't find it on the menu online so they might have changed the name or something

Nicholas and Elizabeth - Grilled Cheese

For dessert:

Me - Chocolate pudding

Michael - strawbery shortcake

the kids got fruit cups.

We walked around DTD after we ate but the kids and we were getting tired so off we went back to Fort Wilderness.

Some pictures in DTD

Here are some shots of the Christmas decorations people have around their campsites by us.

Carrie was also very nice and gave us little presents

I got a beautiful ornament

The kids each got a stocking filled with goodies

Thank you Carrie that was very sweet of you!

Up next Animal Kingdom!

Day Two – November 29, 2010

Magic Kingdom

Michael and I woke up around 6:30 a.m. to get ready before the kids got up. We took showers and got dressed then woke the kids up to get dressed and eat.

Being in Fort Wilderness in a RV has a plus – you can eat in your camper if you want to same some money. We went to the store which was fairly close to our site (walking distance) the night before and got donuts, cereal and bacon, egg and cheese sandwich. Michael and I ate donuts, Nicholas and Elizabeth had a bowel of cereal and Christopher ate the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich. Then we locked up the camper and off we went to the boat dock to go to the Magic Kingdom.

Here are some shots on the way over –

Christopher telling me to stop taking pictures LOL

I forgot what this is

For those who remember – this is where River Country was

Christopher took this picture of the monorail – I think he did a good job and I love the fact that it’s not straight!

Grand Floridian – some day I’ll stay there!

Picture before entering gates – I was determined to get an awesome picture for our Christmas card we send out so I was on a mission!

I really wanted all three kids here but Elizabeth was in one of her moods 1238

The next are a few just walking down Main Street

We were also window shopping – can you see the price of this castle?

In front of the castle (YEAH)

So we decided to go to Tomorrow Land first – here are some shots of that!

First attraction first – Buzz Lightyear

Next up TTA – one of Elizabeth’s favorites

Tomorrowland Indy Speedway – Elizabeth even got her license!

Now at this point in our day Michael really wanted to take the boys to some “thrill” rides so off to Space Mountain they went, except for Christopher he was a little nervous at first so he went with me and Elizabeth to

Yup she wanted so bad to go on the Tea Cups – so I told them as long as they don’t spin it I would go with them

They spinned it!

I noticed that Alice and the White Rabbit were out too so after our ride we hustled over to get an autograph and picture!

Here is Elizabeth in front of the topiary

Michael called and said they were almost able to get on Space Mountain so we were going to go on Dumbo until Miss Elizabeth saw Cinderella’s Golden Carrousel LOL

After Michael and Nicholas finally caught up with us (and Nicholas LOVED Space Mountain by the way) we decided it was time to try and see if Elizabeth was tall enough to ride Splash Mountain

Guess what SHE WAS! Michael and the boys went on their flume and Elizabeth and I went on ours. We were the last row and just before you go up we got soaked! Down to our britches. She was not happy about that but LOVED Splash Mountain.

It’s hard to see but this is a picture of our photo – you can’t even see Elizabeth LOL

Here is Elizabeth all wet.

Next up was lunch. I wanted to try different places this time so I had planned to go to Peco’s Bill Café

Here’s what everyone had. I took pictures of everything I ate and will try to get a photo of everyone’s online.

Michael: Cheeseburger (He actually ate a kids meal because Nicholas wanted a cesear wrap

Christopher and Nicholas: Cesear Wrap

Elizabeth: Nuggets

Me: Taco Salad (Oh my goodness it was so good)

When we left there I believe we went to Pirates and when we were walking we saw this

Now my notes say we rode these other attractions as well during the day

Country Bear Jamboree

Snow White

Tiki Room

As night fell we did this – In April Michael and the kids only did it so I went up this time, not as bad as I thought with all the climbing UP stairs

Nicholas, Elizabeth and I also went on The Magic Carpets of Aladdin, Michael tried to take pictures but we were going way to fast.

At this point, Nicholas started to complain about his ears hurting again. It was late and there was no way I could get in touch with the ENT. We had a ressie for LTT in about an hour so I didn’t want to miss that so I called my friend back home and asked her how much Motrin (adult) can I give Nicholas. I believe he could have half a pill so we waited until we were seated, Michael broke up a pill and Nicholas tried very hard to swallow it.

After ½ hour he was good to go and enjoy his meal for dinner.

I had always wanted to try Liberty Tree Tavern and I was very happy we went there, yummy!

All you can eat Family Style - Tossed mixed Greens, Roasted Turkey Breast, Carved Beef and Smoked Ham with Mashed Potatoes, seasonal vegetables, herb bread stuffing and Mac and cheese. Apple crisp with Ice cream.

After a long day at Magic Kingdom it was time to go back to Fort Wilderness and go to bed. We had a long day the day before with waiting so long for our luggage so we went back to the camper and got ready for bed. I jotted down some notes for the day for my trip report for you all and then went to bed as well.

Up next ~ Epcot

Also I have to call the doctor for Nicholas
